From a young age my conception of exterior surroundings has lent itself as a strong underlying character to my creativity. Coming up in the Pacific North West and in an actively outdoor environment I have always been taken in by highly visual displays and scenery. The outdoors laid an open playing field to my imagination. I spent most of my youth exploring the vast scape of the acres we lived on..My work is diverse, whether I may be collaborating as a producer, director or cinematographer, as well if it may be a studio broadcast, short film, or music driven production, I strive to build from daily influences to shape my direction. Spawning strongly from my passions for strong visual displays, off kilter comedy, and compelling music of all genres. My love for the arts was most prominently established through my father and the path he took within the music industry. He influenced my passion for music as well my everlasting self-driven exploration into film. My father also exemplified a level of offbeat humor and spontaneity, which subtly seeped into my subconscious. Abstract, off beat comedy fuels my life, inspiring ideas as well gives a form of relief.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Records and laser discs filled our home with entertainment, with a screen and projector, our house was a standing theater in where I lived. The 1954 classic, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea destined my love for film forever. Down the line my sense of creativity gained heavy influence through the depth of character, usage of environment as well avant garde style exemplified through works of Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino.Growing onto my own, Chicago was best fit for me. Going to school taught me the hardline skills, which I previously lacked and allowed me to turn the visual process in my head into a live action production. I focused on developing my professionalism and production process skills, including the ability to asset multiple areas of production to gain better understanding, lend assistance or a point of view when needed. Chicago presented me alternative mediums within video production, enabling me to hone and pursue what most influences my creative path.
